The people who come to me almost always arrive with the same question: “Why doesn’t it work for me the way it does for others?”
They work hard. They follow the steps. They do the right things. And still they feel like they’re swimming against the current.
Most of the time, the answer isn’t in their skills or their strategy. It’s that they’re trying to work by someone else’s model – to fit themselves to a template.
Human Design distinguishes five main types – and each has a different strategy for how it engages with the world, makes decisions, and interacts.
The Manifestor initiates. They don’t wait for permission – they inform and begin. Their gift is starting things, not necessarily finishing them. They’re in their power when they work without constraints.
The Generator builds. They have energy for work when something lights them up – they can go for hours without tiring. Their compass is in the body: the sense of “yes” or “no” comes physically, before the mind steps in..
The Manifesting Generator – like the Generator, has energy to work and a compass in the body. They move fast and efficiently – and often find the shortest path precisely when they don’t follow linear logic..

The Projector recognises – people, systems, potential – and is recognised and invited in return. When they wait to be sought out, the results are different. Their superpower is guiding, not doing.
One client – a Projector – told me after a few months of working together: “I learned to grow quiet and wait for people to come to me on their own. That’s exactly when I began to feel real success.”
The Reflector senses and mirrors the environment around them. They’re a barometer for what’s happening around them. In the right place, with the right people, they naturally reveal what works and what doesn’t.
Five different types. Five different ways to engage. When you work in tune with your nature, you gradually begin to swim with the current instead of against it.
Which type are you?
Knowing your type is only the beginning – the real shift comes from learning to live by it. If you sense it’s time to stop swimming against the current, that’s what The Transition Map is for: six months of individual work in which, together, we explore who you are, how you make decisions, and which way makes sense to go.
